Naplan Preparation.

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), like any other academic examination, requires preparation to achieve success. We urge students in Year 3, Year 5, Year 7 and Year 9 to begin tutoring sessions in the first term such that they can be properly prepared. However, if there are gaps in the learning then starting the year before would be more effective. Sessions at SD (Success with Distinction) Education Centre are conducted in a supportive, friendly, and engaging learning environment where the academic development of each student comes first.

According to the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA), the information obtained from NAPLAN testing promotes continuous improvement at school, state and national levels. The NAPLAN is comprised of four main areas: reading, writing, language conventions (including spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy. All these areas are catered by our tutoring programs. At SD (Success with Distinction) Education Centre, we incorporate essential skills in every tutoring session that will be tested for in NAPLAN. Our tutors provide the support that students need, in order to be successful, by covering literacy and numeracy skills aligned with the school curriculum. In preparation for NAPLAN testing, we have classes available in January Holidays , term 1 and Easter Holidays :

Mathematics: includes concepts, strategies and problem-solving
English: includes Reading Comprehension, Language Conventions and Writing In teaching these two courses, SD (Success with Distinction) Education Centre covers all the areas assessed by NAPLAN and more. We also have a school holiday course for NAPLAN in the January Holidays and Easter Holidays. This course provides intensive practice in various levels.
